MBBS BSc MRCPCH (Paediatric Cardiology London)

I am a Consultant Fetal and Paediatric Cardiologist. I qualified as a doctor from Imperial College Medical School (St Mary’s Hospital), London, in 1998. In 2001, I became a Member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, London and completed specialist training in Paediatric Cardiology and Congenital Heart Disease in children (CCST) in 2009.

My Pediatric Cardiology training was undertaken at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London, UK. In 2011, I received an award from the British Medical Association (BMA) Book awards, for my imaging atlas in Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging. I have completed 2 yrs of formal sub-specialty training in Fetal Cardiology.

My NHS practice is based at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London. In terms of child heart surgery, the department is the largest in the UK. I am the Cardiac Network Lead and am responsible for improving the safe and sustainable delivery of Paediatric Cardiology Care across London and our referring hospitals. Together with my cardiology colleagues, we provide a full programme of cardiology care for baby's and children. I am the visiting Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist for Whipps Cross Hospital and The Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel.

My private practice is based at the Harris International Patient Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital and at The Harley Street Clinic. I also see patients at the Hospital of St John St Elizabeth, BUPA Cromwell Hospital and at The Portland Hospital, London. Following a detailed assessment and diagnosis, a individualised care plan is created that will act as clear pathway of referral to a range of specialties that may include interventional procedures (day-case, key–hole procedures) or child heart surgery if indicated.
